In short, Vesta was born out of necessity to survive. Formerly VDB, VestaDAO’s history, in a nutshell, is a ‘community takeover meme, turned community focused utility play’.

This brings us to the next point…transparency. Or lack thereof.

The original dev of VDB had some issues with transparency after building a community with transparency as a focus. So after losing the trust of the community, he asked Cobi Bean to take over leadership or take the dev wallet and refund the upset holders. Cobi took this as a challenge and started putting the pieces back together, one by one. Most utility projects lack community. We already had one. So we decided to transition to a DAO first. The first name change was from VDB to VitalyDAO. The true Vitaly’s of our OG community are still here and have been contributing since the leadership change. After some new information came to light, we were forced to complete the rebrand sooner than we wanted to. That's when VestaDAO was born. The first value adds, we made, were project reviews and interviews of other Metis projects. Since we have relaunched that initiative, we decided that Vesta, the Roman Goddess of home and family, was a good fit. Not only do our project reviews come without a bias, but now more than ever, come without any bullshit.

Notable Highlights include….

-our token migration from the old meme token contract. This went off without a hitch. To see our market cap increase, instead of dump, upon news of migration, is one of the biggest “Green Flags” you can find in a project’s community.
